August 27, 2008 - SoleraTec announces
Surveillance Video
Management support for Phoenix archive
management software.
Phoenix SVM provides the time-tested
protection and preservation methodology proven in the IT market but designed specifically to
meet the unique needs of the surveillance industry. Phoenix SVM automatically moves surveillance
video from primary storage in DVRs and NVRs to archive storage while preserving watermarks,
time codes, analytic information, and other surveillance system-provided metadata.
Archived video data is continually monitored and is automatically migrated to media that
provides the most cost-effective storage that meets the data’s storage longevity and
access-performance requirements. The solution supports a variety of storage mediums that
can be spun-down and removed to off-line storage.
Phoenix SVM features comprehensive search and retrieval tailored to operate on surveillance
video. Search results are represented by a thumbnail picture that, when selected, launches a
low-resolution proxy video created from archived video files as they are ingested into the
Phoenix Information Repository. This makes it easy to positively identify a video file before it is
actually retrieved from storage.
Those interested in becoming OEM partners should
contact SoleraTec.
August 14, 2008 - SoleraTec announces
Video Content
Management support for Phoenix archive
management software.
New features added to Phoenix include support for SAM, SMPTI, MXF and other video production
standard metadata attributes. These attributes include details such as shoot dates, camera
angles, time codes, director information, process lab information, clapperboard information, and much more.
The metadata processor and catalog within Phoenix has been enhanced to recognize, extract, and catalog these
attributes as video data files are ingested into the Phoenix Information Repository.
This enables highly refined search queries that return a small, focused set of results.
Those interested in
becoming OEM partners should
contact SoleraTec.
July 30, 2008 - SoleraTec announces
Microsoft Exchange support for Phoenix archive
management software.
The new features add Microsoft Exchange email messages and attachments to the
types of data Phoenix can protect and archive. Phoenix can now service an
entire Exchange Server as well as operate on individual user mailboxes, mail
folders, and mail messages. It can also provide mailbox management based on
data age, quantity quota and storage space thresholds.
Those interested in becoming OEM partners should
contact SoleraTec.
May 15, 2008 – SoleraTec is looking for test sites for its email
archiving solution.
The Phoenix Email Archiving Solution resolves the problem of email
archiving for regulatory or posterity purposes. Built on the Phoenix
Information Repository technology, the solution offers flexible and
powerful management of email data. The software supports Microsoft Exchange
based email systems. It captures email data in real time and ingests
it into the Phoenix Information Repository.
The result is a solution in which emails are preserved and managed in
tiers of secondary storage that correlate with the information’s value
over time. Individual emails can be located or groups of emails
pertaining to common parameters can be discovered using the Phoenix Search Tools.
Search results are presented in a search engine result page (SERP) or a
file tree format for easy selection. Once chosen, email files may be
opened with a click of the mouse or retrieved to a primary storage
location for examination.
The Phoenix Email Archiving Solution is scheduled for release in the
third quarter, 2008.
Those interested in becoming a beta testers
for this solution or representing the solution as an OEM should
contact SoleraTec.
