San Diego, CA — July 9, 2014 — SoleraTec LLC, provider of innovative video lifecycle management and storage products, has released —and is now shipping— new version 6.3.3 of its flagship Phoenix VCM(tm) asset management solution for the media and entertainment (M&E) and post production market. This new version continues the 15-years of development for multi-tiered storage management of rich media content.
New version 6.3.3 delivers numerous improvements with tighter integration of Apple's Final Cut Pro (FCP), Avid's MediaComposer, and Adobe's Premiere video editing suites. This enhanced version also has new support for Telestream Vantage and FlipFactory systems for the creation of low-resolution proxy (LRP) files, which are used by Phoenix VCM to quickly search, locate, and playback video assets.
"We are very proud of this latest version of Phoenix VCM and with the smooth upgrade capabilities that our early adopter customers have been able to take advantage of already," stated Mark Armstrong, CEO of SoleraTec. "Improving the user experience as we have to quickly search on all media assets and efficiently export a specific scene or set of needed footage is improving the productivity of the users."
One user interface improvement of note is the new search results layout that allows users the ability to choose a display option for the search results in either thumbnail, list, or detail mode so each user can get the most appropriate visual display of their assets.
Phoenix VCM version 6.3.3 now provides for specific exporting of video clips with appropriate XML wrapping for use with Adobe Premiere. This functionality extends the previously provided "round tripping" capabilities for Avid's MediaComposer and Apple's FinalCut Pro.
